With its new Ex FG 40 series Johannes Hübner Giessen is setting a new standard for incremental encoders designed to meet heavy duty requirements in hazardous areas.
The flameproof casing with detachable terminal box cover facilitates connecting the cable during on site installation. That makes it possible to use different cable lengths to connect the same device type, limit the variety of versions and optimize stocks of spare parts. Equipped with large ball bearings the long-lasting devices are both ATEX and IECEx certified and suitable for use in Gas Zones 1 and 2 as well as Dust Zones 21 and 22.
