The optical rotary encoders FGH 14 with a through hollow shaft up to Ø 150 mm are usually mounted directly onto the application shaft. Due to their flat design, they are suitable for the attachment of additional sensors such as absolute encoders, speed switches or a combination of these.
Furthermore, there is the possibility of a redundant design with two identical scanning systems and evaluation electronics.
The optical rotary encoders’ maintenance-friendly scanning system facilitates simple changeover without separating motor and gearbox.

The optical rotary encoders of the FGH 14 series offer a wide range of device and signal options and can be supplemented by the attachment of up to 4 further encoders.
