The DC motors of the GN series are ideally tuned to particularly robust applications and are suitable for direct power supply from a battery.
The direct current motors are available in a wide variety of designs and are individually adapted to the respective connection and mounting conditions.
Battery powered direct current motors are very often used in drive engineering applications, and primarily when no AC or threephase mains supply is available and needs to be substituted by batteries or transformers. In most cases, it is possible to adapt the motors to custom voltage supplies. In particular in the field of automotive/drive engineering motors are preferred when power is supplied purely by batteries. In conjunction with a DC chopper controller it is possible to deliver infinitely variable speed control and, as a consequence, guarantee optimum drive concepts.
In addition to a basic range of GN DC motors, DC motors with special dimensions and specifications can also be manufactured on customer request.
In the majority of cases, DC motors for hydraulic drives are switched on directly at the battery power supply. The specially designed double-wound and series-wound motors are ideally suited for this purpose.
DC motors are used to extend powerful antennas in mobile vehicles.
Direct current motors are used in trams to generate the hydraulic pressure to disengage the spring-loaded brakes in the hydraulic power units and for switching the master controller.
We look forward to your challenges.
